Quit being a robot. Start being a human!

You read that right! Stop being a robot and begin to be a human. Most of us go about life as automatons and robots.

Let me show why this is so.

Our lives are usually on automatic pilot. We get up in the morning, browse the newspaper, rush to office, return home, and listlessly flip TV channels before going to bed.  We return to this routine day after day.

Throughout the day we simply react to external events. Whether it is the way we handle our assignments, respond to our bosses’ requests in office or the method we handle the situations or crisis in the family we are simply buffeted by external environment. We react like robots do to stimuli.

We are really not conscious in a real sense.

Are we aware of all that is happening to us or are we just reacting in an almost unconscious way?

For those of you who pride that we humans have feeling and emotions, here’s news. Our feelings and emotional outbursts are extremely predictable. If somebody pricks your ego you feel hurt, when somebody provokes you, you feel angry, when somebody praises you, you feel elated.

Our emotions are so predictable that they can almost be programmed!

We are an automaton and  we respond in predictable ways. We are more robot-like than we would like to believe.

We need to pause in life and try being a little more human. Rather than just reacting to external events we need to reflect deeply on our actions in the present and determine the future we would like. Instead of being driven in life we need to take control and get into the driver’s seat. We have to fully aware of the moment and take advantage of the creative potential in event moment.

We need to pause. and take a few deep breaths.

It is extremely important that  we look inward. We need to introspect. We need to look at our numerous faults and understand our nature. We have to try to change where we can.

When we well really angry can we step back and look at what is causing our anger. Instead of reacting angrily can we forgive? Can we  face both praise and criticism with poise? Can we try to change for the better?

Can we stop being robot like and become more human?

If people do as you suggest and become more aware of themselves as human beings, they will also start to realize how the definition of “normal” is affected by the opinions of others, which in turn is affected by propaganda on the air waves. This is also what helps they believe that their robotic lives are “normal.” It is not normal.
